As your doula
I do
- Work for you – your needs, preferences, and experience are my sole focus
- Encourage partners and support team
- Present evidence-based information on your options
- Trust your instincts and believe in you
- Point you to local resources and professionals for additional support
I do not
- Work for the hospital, midwife, doctor, or other entity
- Take the place of a partner
- Take the place of a medical provider or perform medical tasks
- Judge or doubt your intuition
- Pressure you
You are more than welcome to explain your choices to me, but you never have to. All opinions and choices are yours: personal, sacred, private. I do not judge your pregnancy & birth choices, I celebrate and honor them.
